Artist Bio:
Cheryl Holz has mastered a delicate balance between the
material world of organic life and the ethereal realm of
thought and idea. Her abstract paintings have sensuous
surfaces that offer meanings that satisfies intellectually
as well as aesthetically. While socio-environmental messages
inspire these works, the utter beauty of Holz's lush colors,
tactile layers and harmonious materials seem to eclipse any
type of didacticism or strident call to action. The organic
art, like nature itself, evolve throughout the day as the
light changes, deepening colors on one panel and
highlighting surfaces on others. Cheryl Holz's unique and
innovated style of multimedia painting has won critical
acclaim.
